Today was our day off from soccer and we were finally allowed to sleep in. We
woke up
at about nine o'clock and slowly made our way down to our usual breakfast. We
then
went back to our room to shower and change before leaving for the beach. The trip
down
to the beach was a two hour bus ride on and it was raining the entire way there.
During the
way there people slept, listen to their IPOD or talked. The Australian guys we
met a little bit
ago came with us and were fun to talk to because they had been here for over two
months
playing soccer. Once we got to the beach and adjoining city the weather started
to clear up a
bit but it was very frustrating because the day before it was about 88 degrees
out and today
it was no hotter than 65 degrees and over cast. We all went shopping together
and it was a
great time. We were in town for the entire day and people bought different things:
tourist things,
fake/cheap jerseys, and food. Some of the people went in the water but I personally
didn't want
to because it was too cold. After walking around the city for hours we took another
two hour
bus ride back and most people slept because it was all pretty tiring. When we
got back to the
hotel at about seven then went to the new favorite place to eat, the Pizza buffet.
We got back to
the hotel at nine is and had the night off so most people emailed their families.
